In her current role at Hain, Emma is working on Hain’s newest strategic platform – Cultivate Ventures – with a dual focus on growing Hain’s underserved brands, and looking to acquire new brands and concepts that fit within the Hain promise of providing consumers a “Healthier Way of Life.”
While an entrepreneur at heart, Emma is a food and beverage expert with over 15 years of experience managing and marketing brands – whether nascent, emerging, or established – for Diageo, FreshDirect, and Hain Celestial. She has been involved in most every aspect of food and beverage management, including marketing, public relations, new product sourcing and development, operations, and sales.
Emma is passionate about delivering the best consumer experience as a key to building brand loyalty, and the creation of FreshDirect’s produce rating system is that principle in action. By being honest with consumers and rating the daily quality – good or bad – of the produce at FreshDirect, they solved a consumer need of replicating the desire to touch and feel produce that exists in a brick and mortar store.
She has been a “foodie” for as long as she can remember, and her love for food and beverage has taken her from cooking classes at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris to farms on Long Island’s North Fork and to sourcing products in Italy.
Emma is City Chair for the Groton School Women’s Network and she serves as a mentor for Accel Foods –a national food and beverage accelerator. In these roles, she has the opportunity to work with leaders and innovators in the food and beverage space and beyond.
