Nasir serves as Village Capital's Economic Opportunity Lead, enabling investors, foundations, and corporations alike to engage with high growth businesses around the world solving pressing challenges in Education, Health, and Financial Services. Most recently, Nasir served as Head of Village Capital's Education practice, responsible for helping cohorts scale their businesses, connect with mentors and advisers, and gain exposure to investors. Nasir began his career as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, and later worked as an Associate to State Street Corporation. Subsequently, Nasir served as an Education Pioneer Fellow and Special Assistant at the Connecticut State Department of Education, focusing on improving digital learning and infrastructure to empower teachers and school leaders to improve persistently low-performing schools. Nasir remains personally engaged in the education space, serving on the board of Center City Public Charter School in Washington, DC and committed to running 51 full marathons in each US state, including DC, to raise scholarship funding for first-generation college students. Nasir holds a Bachelors of Science from Hampton University.
