Melissa is a Co-founder and Head of Marketing at AgFunder based in San Francisco. She brings over 13 years of experience in technology, marketing and agriculture. Prior to AgFunder, Melissa was a marketing director at Elance (now Upwork), the largest global freelancing platform where businesses and independent consultants connect and collaborate remotely. Before that, she was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, specializing in food and agriculture. Her work spanned corporate strategy, investment evaluation, and industry and technical change analysis. Melissa began her career with a quantitative focus at the economic consulting firm Analysis Group. She holds a BA from Princeton University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and a JD from Northwestern University.
