Marcia has five years of experience in scaling innovative social impact models. Marcia held a key role in the development of the Pay for Success/Social Impact Bond field in the United States. As one of the early members of the Third Sector Capital Partners team, Marcia advised governments, service providers, and investors on the development of national Pay for Success/Social Impact Bond projects across social issue areas ranging from juvenile justice, workforce development, homelessness, child welfare, and health. Notable project advisory includes the Massachusetts Juvenile Justice Pay for Success Initiative and the Cuyahoga County Partnering for Family Success Program. Marcia was also a 2012-2013 AmeriCorps Resident in Social Enterprise at New Sector Alliance, a competitive fellowship in social sector management and consulting. In college, Marcia held roles in social businesses such as the Fair Trade Federation, the Capital Good Fund in microfinance, and in a Peruvian social enterprise, Casa de Agocida Mantay. Marcia is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador and holds a B.S. in International Business and double minor in Sociology and French.
